Days of Strike

It has three days continuously I am at home. Because of indefinite strike called by Transportation businessperson in Nepal no vehicle is plying on the road. They are demanding for the increament in public transportation fare. The talks are going on nonetheless they have been inconclusive because of the stance of both government and activists sides.

No progresses have been made in the studies as well. The draft of the thesis of the M.Phil has been submitted but no response has come yet.

Hope from tomorrow the normal life would start and I will utilise the time I have got.

Turning the pages of my history

I was born in Budhathum 5 Dhading District Nepal. The village is very far from Kathmandu though it is in the district that neighbours with the Capital City Kathmandu. My house is in the middle of the village. The villagers know it as THULAGHAR becasue THULA means large as there was no house larger than ours when it was built. I am the youngest sibling of my eight children. Villagers know me as Thulaghare Kanchho (Yougest of Large House) rather than my name Kapil Dev Regmi.

I spent about 16 years in the village continuously until I finished my shcooling of 10 years. I studied in nearby High School Known as Badri Vishal Secondary School. Then as per the suggestion of my beloved father my third brother took me to Kathmandu for higher studies. I got admitted in Mahendara Ratna Campus Tahachal and completed the study upto M. Ed.

While I was about to compelte my I. Ed. I got an opportunity to work as a teacher in Deep Jyoti Boarding School in Balaju Kathmandu. I worked there for nearly three years and started to roam for the better job. I taught in more than 10 boarding school since then.

Last year on Baishkh 25 I was wedlocked with a beautiful lady from nearby my village. Now we have a twins daughters, very cute with mindblowing facial expression. They are just of 16 days today but look very smart as though they are talking to me and to my beloved wife who gave them birth with great pain fo nearly nine months.

After completing my M. Ed in English I started teaching two colleges Rainbow International and Lord Buddha Education Foundation. I left them after a while and started working inJanmaitri Multiple College. Now this is the third year of my teaching in Janamaitri.

On the process of getting good job I happened to study M A Sociology. Then I joined Tri-Chandra College. Though I didn't go to the college I have passed all subjects regularly and now doing thesis.

Last year Mr. Belbase suggested me to do M Phil from Kathmandu University. I got 50% scholarship for studying 18 months course. Now I have been doing thesis after the successful completion of my thesis.

Today I was looking for the literature on phenomenology. Mr. Belbase came in online. We had a long chats. It was so fruitful for my studies.

About This Moment

I was trying to create a blog but I didn't know how to start. My interest of expressing feeling so as to share it with other remained incomplete. Today I had a long chat with one of my best friend com guru Shashidhar Belbase, who is persuing his post graduate degree in Wyoming, America. I happened to see his blog and tried to create of my own. When I was about to open a new blog I remembered that I had already opened up. Then I browsed www.kapildevregmi.blogspot.com. I have started putting down some words on the computer screen.

I have planned to use this blog for the reflection of my day to day activities on teaching and learning. Hope it will lead me to one of the knowledge creators of Nepal.
